Hi,
:)
Okay, do anyone of you know what's the smallest size
dish that can get digital C-band???

Would 48 inch dish pick up digital C-band????
NOT analog C-band. JUST digital C-band.....

I'm hoping to use one to receive a digital satellite
feed that's on AMC-9 satellite C-band, digital HD.

IF you want to know what digital channel on AMC-9,
I would be happy to share with you by PM.

Can this be done????

I do have a 10 foot mesh dish antenna, but
it cannot pick up AMC-9 satellite because it's
near the bottom of the arc, and that the BUD
is on a 6 ft and 8 inch tall pole. And the fence
and the house are in the way at East.
:(
So, I'm thinking is to have a 48 inch dish up on the roof
to pick up AMC-9 satellite to receive a digital C-band channel
feed.

AMC-9 satellite is too far East and down near the bootm
of the satellite arc, and I'm too far on the N.W.

Hope my inquiry helps for answers.

Thank you,

I seriously doubt you would be successful with a 4' mini-BUD. But if you have a really good LNBF you may get lucky :).

My 10' dish is on a 14' pole and I see over the neighbors place and 8' privacy fence down to 55.5°W :)

You will not receive 90% of what is up there and no s2 signals. That 4' dish is a superior ku dish.

Your best bet is to figure out someway to move your 10-Footer.

Other than what was just previously posted by Ke4est the 'other way' is put a gate in the fence and remodel the roof line of the house.(??? :) LOL !!enough!!)
As for moving it to a better location, pretty soon the sun will be following the arc, creating sun outages again. Find out what day and time that it's at the AMC location and look for the sunny spot to locate/place the dish.

I did that a while back to confirm that 30W was achievable here.
