Digital Dolby 5.1 optical output to digital 5.1 coax input?

On the Hughes E86 HDTV receiver, the Dig. Dolby 5.1 output is via an Optical cable. My audio receiver (a Pioneer) has a digital coax cable input for 5.1 processing from an external audio component. Can I send the 5.1 output from the Hughes to my Pioneer for 5.1 sound? If so, how?
 
Rat Shack also sells one for far, far less. I've been using it for a few months w/ no problems. Can't remember, off hand, how much it cost exactly. I'm sure a quick perusal of their website would tell you......
