I just noticed this morning that all my digital sub-channels are blocked. Did Dish do an upgrade? I have a VIP222k with the OTA module, and all the subchannels that Dish doesn't have are now locked out for me and I can't get them to show in the default view. I have to show "All Channels", not just "My Channels" to get the subchannels to show up. And if I look at the channels, they are listed as "red" as if I were not subscribed to them. Anyone else see something similar?

Can you view the channel if you poke in the channel number or select it from whatever guide it appears in?

Absent guide information, the appearance (or lack thereof) of a channel in the guide is relatively meaningless.

Yes, I tried rescanning again. I guess it is just a random issue. The channels do not show up in the "My Channels" guide listing, but if I choose "All Channels", then they do show up and I can access them. Just weird that they would be listed as red for digital subchannels - I prefer the "My channels" guide listing because now I have to go and block all the channels that I am not subscribed to so I can use "All Channels"

Remove the channels (delete them) then rescan....that usually fixes it

or do a soft reboot...that flushes the guide

I mostly use My HD Channels although that doesn't get rid of VOD PPV sports adult alternates and the high number map from channels. It does narrow the field as I record little but HD.

I use IMDB to remind me of coming candidates for recording, that is re-recording. It does not have a satellite listing. So I hand those, up to 200, to TitanTV favorites to give me dates and times specifically for Dish in the next 48 hours or manually further ahead.

It would be nice if we could start a list populated by the HD channels and adjust from there.

Yeah it was the sub-channels from OTA. And re-scanning for the channels fixed it. They are no longer showing up red, and I can now see them on the "My Channels" listing.
