I bought one Digital Coax & Optical Toslink to Analog Audio Converter.
i have a panasonic dvd/vhs player so i connected the optical cable from my tv to the converter and the to the panasonic HT.
when watching my dish 722 the coverter works fine on SD channel but on the HD channel it is just a noisy irritating sound.
Any help?

It looks like your converter cannot decode DD/DTS streams the HD channels come with (not saying it was suppose to).

The loud white noise sound is the sign that DD/DTS is treated as PCM.

Diogen.
