Direct Tv and the Weather Channel

Any Chance Direct TV will have have local forecasts like the cable companies? Is it a technology thing?

No. You can always do the Active channel thing. The D10-100 and tht D11-500 has are the only reciever out on the market that has it (I believe), but the D10-200, D10-300, and the DirecTV Plus reciever will.
