Apologize for something that is probably already posted and answered but I need help in connecting/configuring my HR54 genie with my HR24 HD DVRS. Direct TV has been less than helpful giving me conflicting information on how to connect and use the HR24 receivers. I appreciate any help, thank you.

to Satelliteguys TXThunder!Since an HR54 requires a swm system, you will most likely have one cable coming from your dish. That will go to a splitter, and your HR54 and HR24 will connect to the output of that splitter. Since the HR54 has a built in power inserter, it needs to be on the power passing port of the splitter. It's designated by either a red line or a red port. That's how the equipment is connected. If you need help with the alignment, come on back and we can help with that, too.
