Directv 1st Quarter 2014 earnings

Guess the Weather Channel fiasco didn't really affect them negatively. The highlights:

Revenue up 4% from a year ago to $7.86 billion

Operating profit up 7% from a year ago to $2.22 billion

U.S. subs had a net increase of 12,000. D* ended the quarter with 20.27 million U.S. subs.

Average Monthly Revenue per Sub in the U.S. increased by 4.3% from a year ago to $100.16 per sub.

Believe it or not, that's actually DOWN from the previous quarter when it was at $111.74 per sub.
