DirecTV Band Stop Filter

I use a band stop filter between my green label 4-way swm multiswitch & non-green label swm lnb. If both the multiswitch & lnb were green labeled, the band stop filter would not be needed. The band stop filter keeps the internet frequencies from bleeding through to non-DECA receivers like the D12 SD receiver & R16 SD DVR. You also need it for the H20 HD receiver(which also is not DECA compatible) & for hook up of the satellite 2 input of the HR20 HD DVR.

BSF are only required for powered decas correct?

The DECABB doesn't need BSF for the d12s and r16 correct?

I haven't used one since they came out with zero problems

They are required to go on any receiver that's non-MRV compatible when on a MRV system. Such a D-12's and R-16's. They say if you have just 1 HDDVR and 3 standards you're "suppose" to put them on the standards so the HDDVR doesn't try to "talk" to them. Never done it but you're suppose to
