Does anyone know if the DirecTV 3 Sat location dish is compatible w/ the DP522?

No, it is not, at least not with a Phase 3 dish. The Directv 110 WL LNBF is a non standard LNBF, and is not compatable with Dish Network. If you can find an old Directv 3 sat dish, with out the internal multiswitch, and you use a standard lnbf for 110, it will work. It will not be DISHPro, however.
