WHAT: AT&T* (NYSE: T) DIRECTV will be "Election HQ" for viewers. They can get quick and easy access to real time results (from the Associated Press) and TV news coverage of the historic 2016 presidential election.

A special Mix channel pulls the news together, so you have a full view of what's going on. And you can get additional information as you watch through an interactive experience featuring live election results for the presidential race as well as Senate and House contests and key ballot initiatives.

WHERE: Tune to DIRECTV channel 347 to watch a 4-screens-in-1 Mix channel during 3 days of election coverage. On election night (Nov. 8), DIRECTV will expand its Mix channel to include 6-screens-in-1 for full coverage. (The Mix will be in HD only.)

WHEN: The DIRECTV Election HQ Mix channel and Interactive Experience will be available Nov. 7-9.

The 4-channel mix (channel 347) will include:
• BBC World News
• CNN
• FOX News Channel
• MSNBC

The 6-channel mix (channel 347) – on Nov. 8 only - will include:
• BBC World News
• Bloomberg
• CNN
• Comedy Central
• FOX News Channel
• MSNBC

Access the Election HQ Interactive Experience several ways:
• Click the red button on your remote while tuned to the Election HQ Mix;
• Visit the apps menu;
• Click on a programming guide banner or icon on any one of the Mix channels;
• Tune to channel 347.
Interactive Experience features:
• Electoral College Vote Tracker – track the Electoral College votes (The winning candidate must capture 270 electoral votes.)
• Electoral College Map – access state by state presidential results
• Results by State – view the presidential, Senate and House races and key ballot initiatives by state
• Presidential Bios – get bios for presidential candidates

I really wish they would have included the major three affiliates along with the three major cable news channels as opposed to including BBC, Bloomberg and Comedy Central - that way you could see local results as well as national. But this is still a great feature heading into Tuesday night.
 
Comedy Central? Yeah, that's where I go for news. Although, sadly, so many younger people do.

Well seeing that most of what a politician does and says is a joke it becomes more relevant as time goes by!
I think the mix is a great idea.....Now if we had a guide that was somewhere close to 2016, just imagine if YOU had your own way of putting groups of channels on that could be customized!!!...Sports, movies, news, ect......

will they keep the 4-channel mix up if there is a tie or some other issue that makes for no winner on the 9th? or even the 6 channel one so they can show more then the 4 channels?
