DirecTV Mobile App Won't Show Live TV Since Last Update

Spins for a while, then ends with an "Unfortunately your DirecTV App has stopped".

Uninstalled it, reinstalled it, no luck.

Running Android 5.0.1 on a Samsung S4 Active. Yes it's a few years old! But it worked prior to the update.
