DirecTV RF Remote Range

I REALLY need to extend the range of my RF Remotes for my DVR's. It seems like X10 and other RF applications have extenders but DirecTV does not.

Does anyone have an idea of how this could be done? Even a wired solution would be fine but I need to use the remote in RF mode.

You must be in a difficult situation, my RF range is very good.
I can be at the front of the house and work the rec'r in the back of the house, but I have NO brick walls or other types of obstructions.
