DirecTV Sues Playboy, Spice for Breach of Contract

March 26 (Bloomberg) -- DirecTV, the largest U.S. satellite-television provider, sued Playboy Enterprises Inc. and its Spice Hot Entertainment unit, accusing the adult program providers of breach of contract.

Playboy and Spice aren’t complying with a “most favored nation” contract provision that guarantees DirecTV the same terms that any other distributor gets, the satellite-TV company said in a complaint filed today in California Superior Court in Los Angeles.

Just from a quick read, they aren't saying Playboy didn't follow the terms, just that they haven't proven they followed the terms, something an independent auditor is to check each year.

Sounds like Playboy just didn't comply with the audit or something.

Somehow I sincerely doubt this will lower the price of any of D*s most expensive programming.
 
I think we should stay abreast of this situation.

People actually pay money for porn these days? Amazing.
