DIRECTV Transponder Map ~ Data 10/30/2024

The 56-9 INFO that everyone sees is for KETK Tyler Texas, they screwed up and made it national instead of limiting it to market 195

Interesting... My data capture shows an info channel 10-9 for market 3 (Albany). This is from the fast APG data that is used only when the receiver is booted up. The INFO channels apparently haven't made it into the slow APG pids on TPN 27, which are used to update the guide over time. I would restart my HR54 but am recording something

Your market's slow APG has caught up. Mine will too, sometime. Or maybe there is incomplete data in the slow APG right now. But I need to go to bed. I will do another data capture and share some info in the morning, maybe they will have it all straight by then.

It's gone now. Turns out I had it on earlier, then watched a recorded show, then when I was done with that. 56-9 showed a black screen. When I hit exit, it said "Regular Schedule". I couldn't change the channel with the channel up/down buttons. When I hit guide, it said there were no channels in the current favorites list. After hitting exit, and entering in 16 (local ABC), it tuned in, and when I hit guide, all channels were there again, and when I scrolled, 56-9 was not there anymore. I think I have just seen how the box reacts to removed channels!

I had a similar experince this morning. The fast APG now has 150 info -9 channels in it. I still don't see my 10-9 channel in my guide. Here is the Analysis from this morning. I will ber out today so cannot reply until this afternoon.

In addition to the dispute INFO channels, there's a mirror of the Newsmix in test on 307.1 in the event they have to pull down NewsNation. They also finally remapped the significantly viewed mirrors of WVNY Burlington for the Vermont portions of the Albany and Boston DMAs to the Mission dispute slate.

More Wimbledon and *FMC prep

WDPN Philly's SD feed now has the METV logo

The subchannel relabels hit Watertown, Wheeling and Parkersburg, and they also updated the callsign for WHKY Charlotte to WWJS after Jimmy Swaggart bought it in April.

The *DBACKS channel is now pointing to logo_id 143

The Extra Innings on Us and 12 months of Sports Pack on Us targetted GIFT channels are gone and have been replaced with 9755 *GIFT (6 months of sports pack) and 9756 *THANKS ($20 off for 12 months)

NewsNation isn’t contractually tied to Nexstar’s stations though, you said it’s still on an old contract from when it was Tribune-owned WGN.

That contract along with the ones for the legacy Tribune stations like WPIX, WPHL, WGN, KWGN, KTLA, etc are part of this. The Tribune contracts basically remained in place until the successors next renewal. WPIX is the oddball though, it got sent to Scripps first, and then Mission, but worded the deal so Nexstar directly handles their retrans deals instead of Mission

Wow, I don’t know if it just happens to expire at the same time as all the other Nexstar stations, but if it doesn’t, then that is just wrong!

Fox did a similar thing with their FX, Nat Geo and FSN channels for renewals that occurred during the leadup to the Disney sale, and the subsequent divestment of the FSN stations to Diamond/Sinclair.

I notice Evansville, IN’s info channel (25-9 for WEHT, their ABC affiliate) is labeled “info” (lower case) and not “INFO” (upper case) like all the other ones.
