What is this here Discord Server all about?
Why go to Discord, when there is already a great forum here?
It's primarily used by gamers because of the capabilities of setting up user groups, teams, posting group news and has voice chat but it can be used as any type of chat server
And, here I thought someone was going to replace Claude for sowing discord about DISH.
I thought he was trying to set up a server to register complaints against Dish. When I googled Discord Server I found out that it is a server that can host various games such as fortnite.

No, it's a chat service that you create public or private servers on for your group that has expanded capabilities, is the best way to describe it. Imagine if this site had a Shoutbox, where people could live chat, but with Discord, you can setup different "Rooms", use your mic to talk live, etc.
Here is a server for a gaming clan I hang out with. The Column at the far left is the list of servers I belong too, then the list of different "Rooms" on the server I'm showing, the chats and the members list
They should call it: alt.dbs.echostar
