Have a few questions here that Im hoping someone knows the answer to. I am getting ready to get HD programming again and have installed a 1000.2 dish for 119,110, 129. Im in the Salt Lake City area so my HD locals are on 129

My question is that I have observed you can get a much better 129 signal on a seperate dish 300 than on a dish 1000. What would happen if I connect a seperate 129 Dish 300 to the LNB in port on the 1000.2 LNB? Would I get the stronger 129 signal from the dish 300 to the receiver? I got the dish 1000.2 for free so I would like to try and use it, thats why I ask how the LNB will treat it. Any ideas anyone?

I have a 1000.2 and a separate D500 for 129. You don't need to cover the 129 lnb on the 1000.2 if you're using a switch. If the cables go directly from the LNBs to the receivers, cover the 129 lnb with aluminun foil and run check switch.

BTW, my signal difference between the D500 and the D1000.2 for 129 is not that much, at least in my area.

You mean the 1000.2 actually works how they intended? That would be a first for dish j/k. In that case then Ill probually set my D300 to 61.5 and have all 4. Thanks for the info.

if you will aim dish at 61.5, and have all 4 birds, you still will be pulling HD of 129 and if you drop signal on 129 the HD programs wont automatically switch to 61.5 you going to have to check switch
