I live in pittsburgh, pa. i bought a vip 612 receiver to use with dish network. can i set up a dish 1000.2 triple lnb and run 1 coax to my receiver with a dish seperator to get all of my programming? i am just using this 1 receiver. I only have about a 50' cable run so can i get away without running a power inserter? just want to make sure i will be able to get all of my hd channels with this setup.

yes it will work fine. There is a built in switch to get all 3 satellites

a 1000.2 sees 110/119/129
a 1000.4 in most cases sees 61.5/72/77 (there was a 1000.4 for 110/119/129 but was used for a short time)

Both will accomplish what you want which is HD and Pittsburgh HD locals and both work the same way (other than pointing in opposite directions)

can i use the 1000.4 to pick up 110/119/129. asking if it will work and get better signal since it's a slightly bigger dish

also, if i'm only using 1 tv would a 622 install be exactly the same? If i do this i can hook up the other tv at a later time.

Yes, the setup would be the same for the 622. 1 cable from the LNB to the receiver (using a DPP separator). Then you can hook up a 2nd tv later. You can use the 1000.4 for western arc, but you have to make sure to get the 1000.4 WA LNB (which is different from the 1000.2 if I remember correctly).
