I'm new here and hope someone can answer my questions. I have a dish 1000.4 setup utilizing satellites 61.5 72 and 77. If I align my dish to get a strong signal on 61.5 I lose my signal on 72 and 77. Can I use a separate dish for the 61.5 satellite and combine the signals to go to my receivers? What equipment do I need?

RussD, I'm in NC as well, and use a 1000.4, and if peaked properly, you won't have signal issues on any of the EA satellites. Protocol is to peak your signal on 72. If you still feel the need to use a seperate dish for 61.5, you can use a 300, or a 500, and connect it to the in-port on the 1000.4 lnb. Of course you'd have to cover the 61.5 lnb on the 1000.4 with aluminum foil to cancel it out.

Thanks dahenny, I did setup a separate dish and get better signal now on 61 without low signal on 72. Thanks for the info on the 72. I think my main problem is a slight tree issue that I will take care of in the Spring. I have 1 more question if anyone could answer. I can't scan for locals on my 722k dish receiver. It is grayed out. What do I need to do?
