DISH 1000+ and 3 Hoppers

They should both work except, as you probably know, the one Hopper with the node attached to the DPP33 won't have 118.
 
They are basically the same, although there is no reason to use a Duo node for the 3rd Hopper in either configuration. Unless you are planning on going with 4 hoppers.
 
There is another way, using 2 DP33 switches. Use a Dish 1000.2 w/ "W" bracket and 3 DP single, or dual LNBs. Then 1 cable from each LNB to a high freq, power passing (diode steered are best) splitter. Then on to each DP33. This of course assumes you don't need 118.7. The nice thing about doing it this way, is no power supply needed for the DP44(s), eliminating a fail point and dealing with running the power line coax. With no switch at the dish (the built in switch in the 1000.2 DPP LNB), eliminates another fail point.

We feel it is a more trouble free and professional way of doing it.

Have you ever tried this with a four Hopper setup, using the splitters and two DPP33 switches I mean?
