I am scheduled to have my 622 and Dish 1000 installed tomorrow. The local area forecast calls for rain and possible storms. I have scheduled to take the day off to meet the Dish guy (not a local retailer) for the installation.

If it rains, should I anticipate Dish cancelling my appointment? While I certainly don't expect anyone to risk their life for my HD pleasure, I'd rather not burn a vacation day if the install isn't likely to happen.

DISH works in the rain. The worst thing that could happen is that it slows the installer down. Don't panic if he's a little later getting there.

I have done service calls and installs in the rain. As long as it is not lightening and as long as it is not raining too hard (to where it would block the signal). At worst the storm may not last long and the installer would just wait for the storm to blow through.
