I found online a site that still had the OLD "Top 40" channel list, I was curious what the 80 additional channels in the "Top 120" were. Dishes list of channels on their web site is VERY hard to understand, lots of channels listed twice..., but I did find a decent list and when compaired, this is what I found.

TVGN, ESPNU, MTV2, Spike, ABC Fam, TLC, Doc, Fox News, Ion & NASA are the only "normal" channels that the top 120 has that the top 40 didn't. All the rest are shop at home (something they had back w/the top 40 but didn't mention) CD music channel, the EARTH chan  , lot of public interest channels in the 9000's etc.

Marketing is such a joke, could you work at a job that your paid for your ability to twist the truth if not outright lie. The "Top 120" should be the "Top 50". NO one is going to consider any channel beyond the 50, "Top" channels.

interesting info

Yeah its kinda goofy that Dish includes audio only in its count. I mean dang
32 CD channels
18 mono channels
60+ sirius channels

no wonder they can say "top 250"

Dang PPV where $2.99 now there like $5! It's amazing how much the prices went up in the last ten years. To bad what they pay their technicians hasn't followed the same increase rate.

Heck, Sirius is not even in AT120. That is one of the main ways they get from 120 to 200.

I understand the confusion, though. AT120 was the middle pack not too long ago.

Looking closer: They have "The Learning Channel" (TLC) in the list; at that time Spike was "The Nashville Network"; and Before there was "ABC Family" there was "Fox Family" and before that.. "The Family Channel"

what made me snicker was the failed niche channels they are showing in the 100 package... Romance Classics, CBS Eye on People, and CNNfn
