Dish 311 / second home Question

Possible newbie stupidity but:

Does a 311 have a slot for a smartcard ? As in if I had two locations (home and second home) and 2 311s, could the same smartcard work at both locations?

The 311 has a slot for a smartcard, but it is not used currently. All smartcards are married to each receiver and can only be used by that receiver. Smartcards are not interchangeable.
