dish aiming?

new to fta would like to know where to aim dish
to get the most satellites i have a dish mover that
moves 70 deg each way and at what elevation should
the dish be at I'm in new york 10573
thank's for any help

SBS6 is where you want to be pointing your dish as its your true south satellite.

But I would REMOVE the motor for now and use the angles below to find it first, after you have found and stored some channels ONLY then put the motor back on again.

When you get round to doing that post what make of motor you have HERE for more help!

thank's for the help the motor i have is a sg-2100 it will be install
on a 36" dish with a qph-031
thank's for the help again you guys are the best!!!

Cool!

Remember the L.O. for L side of the QPH-031 is 10750

The L.O. for the C side would be 11250 :)

The SG2100 is a GREAT motor, had mine nearly 3 years and has NEVER missed a beat!

the satellites on that list?

Not all some are C-Band needing a 6' dish, and some the footprint may not be aiming in your direction, I would say you can expect to get signals from most of them :) (With elevations above 15º)
