I think the satellite companies have always played very fast and loose with the truth on their ads. Dish is no worse than DirecTV is, they both misstate the truth and mislead so badly that I cannot believe that they have not had more action against them. See: Washington State Case against D*Washington Attorney General sues DIRECTV for "unconscionable" sales practices

FREE is addressed in this lawsuit, among many other things.
