Englewood, Colo., May 28, 2008 – DISH Network Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH), the nation’s second largest satellite TV provider and leader in the digital transition, today announced it has partnered with Tennis Channel during the 2008 French Open tournament to simultaneously display six matches on its DishHOME interactive mosaic channel.

Starting at 5 a.m. EST every morning through June 1, DISH Network customers can view six different French Open tennis matches at once on DishHOME, Ch. 100. Of the six matches available, viewers can select any window to watch a particular match in full-screen, allowing for specialized control as well as up-to-the-minute information.

“One of the unique qualities of professional tennis is the number of simultaneous matches at any given tournament,” said Victoria Quoss, executive vice president, programming and network strategy, Tennis Channel. “This is especially true at Grand Slam events, which feature both men’s and women’s competitions. Because of this tennis, more so than most other televised sports and entertainment programming, is a driver of multi-signal interactive applications, keeping audiences engaged and preventing them from switching the channel. DishHOME’s interactive mosaic channel lets Tennis Channel viewers select the matches they want to watch during our coverage and, in doing so, helps us to further evolve the way U.S. audiences experience Grand Slam tennis on TV.”

“During a prestigious event like the French Open, fans can feel out of the loop when watching only one game at a time,” said Michael Kelly, executive vice president of Commercial & Business Services for DISH Network. “Together with Tennis Channel, DishHOME offers fans a way to instantaneously keep tabs on different matches, watch their favorite pros, and to stay closer to the tournament action.”

DISH Network subscribers with an interactive TV-enabled receiver can open DishHOME by going to channel 100, pressing the interactive TV button on their remote, launching iTV from the electronic programming guide or selecting a triggered advertisement on another channel.

For the ultimate tennis fan, Tennis Channel HD has recently been added to DISH Network’s extensive HD channel lineup, providing the most French Open action as well as the best picture quality. DISH Network will also currently offer Tennis Channel in its free preview programming, allowing customers to view the channel until June 8, even if it is not included in their current programming package.

Customers can contact DISH Network at 1-800-333-DISH (3474) or their local retailer for more information on how to subscribe to DISH Network. To learn more about DISH Network’s offerings, visit DISH Network -- Home.

What DirectTV does with NFL, Dish is doing with tennis. This actually isn't a bad thing at all. On a 26" TV, it wouldn't look to good. However, those with 120" screens (front projectors) might be willing to have a go.
