Dish Anywhere...no live video control?

Maybe you never could, but I swear I have paused and re-wound live video before. Works fine on recordings. Has something changed or am I under a false impression?

Depends on the stream. Many of the channels are now streaming channels and not coming from your Hopper. The streaming ones are limited on their control.

I haven't found a way in the app to have it default to stream everything from the Hopper.

I was on vacation a while back and ran into this situation.
AS I recall,
I remote (DA) started a recording of the program that DA was defaulting as a stream.
I exited, went back in and
Accessed and watched program via dvr.

I stumbled on a kind of work around to stream from the hopper, at least on an iPhone. Keep the phone in portrait view, start streaming from the web, then tap the info button, then tap the play button. It will start streaming from the hopper. It works with most of the stream from web channels.

As Scott noted, there doesn’t appear to be a global default to enable / disable streaming from the web.
