A tech from Dish was here today to fix my signal loss problem. He replaced my lnb's and DPP44 and all was well although signals were still a bit low, 10-15 on 129. He called Dish and asked if I was eligible for a free 1000.2 upgrade from my existing 1000. Dish said yes and I was scheduled for the new dish next week. Before the tech left we checked my receivers again, two 622s and a 625. Most of the HD channels in the guide were highlighted red. I subscribe to the Digital Home Advantage-America's Everything Pak with locals and the Dish HD. When we called Dish back we were told that to get the dish 1000.2 I would not be able to receive my HD channels until the 1000.2 was installed. The only other option was to cancel the 1000.2 install which would allow the restoration of my HD channels but that I wouldn't be able for the 1000.2 upgrade again. I don't understand why Dish canceled my HD programming until my new 1000.2 is installed? They did tell me that I would receive credit for the days with no HD service. I've had VOOM and the HD channels for two years now. Maybe it will be worth the wait to get the 1000.2? Anyone have any insight on this?
