Is this happening anywhere else outside of the Houston market? Not sure what the dispute is all about.

"For our viewers who are DISH subscribers, we want to take a moment to share some important information. You're tuned into KIAH-CW39 right now because you value our connection to you, and to our community. But we need to let you know that you may lose our news and all programming on KIAH-CW39 because DISH may force us off their system and drop this station – denying you the shows and events you value and pay for. But this doesn’t have to happen, you have a powerful vote to cast."

Tribune Broadcasting group is in a dispute with DISH, they have several stations and this is one of them. DISH is not forcing them off, if they do go off for awhile it will be because Tribune told DISH they can no longer carry the channel until the new contract is completed. Most all local channel disputes if they do go off the air get resolved relatively quickly.
