I have a analog dish finder meter sf95c that has a coax connection on each side. My dish has a single long coax connecting from lnb to receiver with no barrel connector anywhere to tap into for the meter. Theres a second coax connected to the dish abouth 36" long thats folded into the dish arm. (no idea what its for) Could I connect the meter to this shorter cable and feed power via meter coax input, or would I need to disconnect the main Coax from the LNB and run a jumber coax on the output side of the meter to the lnb?

Disconnect the long coax at the LNB and move the short one to that port. Then use a barrel connector to join the two together when they're not connected to the meter for aiming.
