and rupert has $800,000,000.00 more at 7.9 bil.........SO?

Um, I was agreeing with you that Charlie's image as the regular guy fighting the system was rubbish.

sorry.

thing is , he has milked that image and a ton of folks have bought into it..

yeah, he is one of you.....sure he is!

his only asset is echostar, he owns no programming or rsns or studios or production facilities or newspapers or magazines as news corp/ murdock does. charlie IS vulernable to the programmers more so than rupert is.

fact is... directv is broadcasting say fox 53 in pittsburgh, or fox sports, rupert is taking money from one pocket and putting it into another. charlie actually has to PAY for fox and fox sports. think about it.

Especially with all the ABCs in there right before SuperBowl. E* is just giving D* somemore wood for the fire.
Not just that, its Wild Card weekend. One that the Patriots play in on ABC and look who owns the primary ABC in Boston (and Manchester, NH)...its Hearst.

Couple that with ABC's in

Pittsburgh
Kansas City
Milwaukee
Oklahoma City
Omaha
Jackson, MS
W. Palm Beach
Portland, ME
Fort Smith, AR
Albuquerque
Honolulu

And a few NFL markets will be affected. Granted thats also if Dish were to go down this road, and thats kind of a doomsday scenario.
