Forgive my ignorance but do you get your locals in HD with Dish? I see they advertise CBD but what about the rest?

If I go with the 921 HD DVR I can add an off air antenna to it right?

Yes, you can providing that you can receive a signal from the towers. You may need a rotor, if the signals are coming from different directions or if you are close enough, you might be able to get away with a omni-directional antenna. Most DTV signals are UHF, but some are VHF. Don't add an amplifier, unless you need one. You can do a search here for others in your locale or check out http://www.antennaweb.org for an antenna. You can also try http://www.avsforum.com to find what people are using in your city. Good luck.

Oh, one thing, the 921 only has one OTA tuner, so if you do a lot of network recording, you might be faced with recording the second show in SD.

Another thing, if you want to record the OTA channels, you'll have to pay Dish for you're locals to get the guide info on the 921 or you can set up manual timers.
