Dish Home Protection question

I own a 6000 receiver and have been paying this fee for awhile now but never had to use it. What types of things does it cover? Can it be used for repairing/replacing a non-working remote?

I realize I could call Dish and ask this, but the wait times have been very long today. Thanks in advance.

It covers all Dish branded equipment, receivers, switches, LNBFs and yes remotes.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I just called and they're sending me a new remote. I don't even have to send the old one back.
