Another goof-up at Dish Network. Charlie is spending too much time with his various mergers and takeovers.

Every other Cable Satellite company has the new Fox News Go feature. The one hold out is Dish Network. Dish Network is asleep again.

It's not Dish who is asleep. Surely you are aware of the dispute over autohop with Fox, and the increases Fox is wanting for some college football games? An arrangement must be made between Fox and providers. And that has apparently not come about as yet, due to frictions between the two, most likely.

Fox is seemingly not very cooperative these days, probably because they keep getting shut out in the courts over Autohop.

The thing about this is Fox knows the have Dish under the gun because a majority of Dish customers are rural and guess what most rural folks are conservatives who treat information they get from fox news shows as gospel.

Yeah, us out here in the boonies are mostly conservatives, that explains why the very rural county I live in has so many of those 'conservative' Democrats right?

Scott's right, Dish and Fox aren't on friendly terms, recently Fox Sports 1 was affected by a minor dispute over games being on Dish. while they did settle on that. they have bigger issues, like lawsuits that Fox has against Dish over the technology with the Hopper DVR system.

And fox is whining over each loss they take in court. Probably pissed when abc pulled out due to dish's agreement with Disney. Their weak case just got weaker.

They have only lost the injunctions not the cases they are still in court because of this Fox notes that its content agreement with Dish expressly states that Dish "shall not retransmit or otherwise distribute FOX's signal by means of the internet, broadband or any other online technology or wireless or cellular technology (such as cell phones, tablets, or PDAs)."

I didn't say they lost the case. I said they've lost in court. Which would be their injunctions. Seems so far the judge does not agree with them.

well the fact the cases are still in court means there is merit.
like anything court cases drag out for years.
my personnel anecdote my divorce was filed march 2005 did not go final and signed by a judge until nov 2007.

The merit is for the judge to listen to the attorneys and decide the language and legality of the contract. And so far, dish is winning. That very possibly can change in a single argument. But as of right now, it's dish.

Is that why Charlie won't put Fox Movie Channel HD on ? Hopefully it will be settled soon. Dish wouldn't dare drop Fox News, I can tell you that.
