Hello! Yes, we offer our Local Channels as a separate subscription from our core packages. For more information, you can go to MyDISH.

Are these locals offered as a stand-a-lone package or only as an add on package to a basic package.

For years we have wanted to be able to just sub to locals and 18 years ago they did offer them, because my Aunt had them on my 3rd account with DISH back then. Of course now you would pay the $12.00 but not get all your locals over channel disputes. The Welcome pack grew out of just locals pack and then it started to replace just for locals. OF course now the Welcome pack will run just under $50.00. That's why my Aunt wanted to drop DISH after all these years.

Right at the top of the packages page where locals are listed with other packages, it states:
"Add-on Packages & Channels" It does NOT look to me like it is a stand alone package.

I tried to just get locals. The CSR said you have to get it as an add-on to one of the cores. ...so basically the 'least' you can get is Flex + Locals.

Then that is no different to what Dish has been offering for years now.

Back when I sold Dish I hooked up alot of summer folk with the local pack.OTA is pretty non existent-maybe one channel with an outside antenna.As I remember they could buy the equipment installed for $100.Locals were $10/month.Because they purchased(not leased) they could disconnect and reconnect whenever they wanted.
