Hello guys, this is my first post here. My apologies if this has been covered before.

I'm converting a free standing garage into a mother-in-law apartment. My intent is to add a second receiver to my existing DirecTV account for Mom's apartment as cheaply as possible. My Mother has Dishnet now. Will her existing Dishnet 18" dish and older single LNB work with a DirecTV receiver? This is all older legacy standard def equipment. I just have a single LNB 18" dish and it's about a 200' cable run from my dish to the garage.

Thanks in advance for your help.

AS Ice said as long as it is the 18" not 20" dish 500 and it has a LEGACY single LNB no Dish Pro it is compatible with Directv SD broadcasting. And yes this question has probably been posted a thousand times.
