DISH Network Brings Local TV Channels to Dayton, Ohio

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 2003--EchoStar Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:DISH) will announce Thursday that its DISH Network(TM) now offers local TV channels by satellite television to Dayton, Ohio.
The following local TV channels are offered: ABC Ch. 2 (WDTN), CBS Ch. 7 (WHIO), NBC Ch. 22 (WKEF), FOX Ch. 45 (WRGT), WB Ch. 26 (WBDT) and PBS Ch. 16 (WPTD).

This is the first time local TV channels are available by satellite TV in the Dayton area, providing an alternative to local cable TV service. Local channels will be offered at $5.99 per month for DISH Network customers in Dayton. DISH Network also provides digital video recording technologies and high definition TV channels to Dayton.

"Television viewers in Dayton now have an obvious, money-saving alternative to cable by switching to the lowest priced service in the nation," said Michael Schwimmer, senior vice president of Programming at EchoStar. "We think the American consumer is tired of piggish cable companies that eat them out of house and home with their ever increasing costly rates. DISH Network's 100 percent digital quality, channel selection and now Dayton news, sports and weather give customers a good reason to switch to our satellite service."

DISH Network offers local channels via satellite to Dayton customers in 10 Ohio counties including: Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby and Wayne county in Indiana will also receive Dayton local channels.
