They carry MeTv but not Me-Too.

Yes they do but they only carry MeTv and not MeToo.

metoo does not qualify for "must carry" as its a class A station
yes I know metv is also a class A but meTV has a digital channel already assigned (and not a subchannel)..metoo's main station is analog

you can bet the next time Weigel contract comes up it will be on Dish. Sidenote...it isnt on Directv either

Why are you saying this? Does it have something to do with the fact, that E* just added Weigel's flagship station WCIU-26 in HD...

no. I'm just saying that whenever the contract comes up with Weigel you can be sure that they will try and strongarm the carriers to carry MeToo. Now if it just came up then you never know. But since its considered low powered it doesnt qualify for must carry....but providers can play the old "unless you carry this subchannel you dont get the main one" game

Agree - but actually, I am in SHOCK that Weigel managed to get E* to carry WCIU-26 in HD, since it is only an independent station; although they DO carry quite a bit of local pro sports in HD.
And this in spite of the fact that none of the Chicago local PBS's are carried in HD yet...
