By using dishpointer.com for my location, I got the direction and angle for aiming the 5lnb. What I am wondering is ..... how wide a spread the satellites are. By putting the dish in my yard, I'd be able to set it up between two trees, and definitely could point to the prescribed target unobstructed, but I'm guessing that the satellites are spread out a bit over the southern sky. Anyone know how spread out they are (that would give me some idea of how much margin I need left and right).

Thanks
Jeff

If you did the dishpointer for the 101 sat, you will need 5 degrees to the east and 25 to the west to ensure signal. In addition, you will need at least at 10 degree vertical arc.

If you pointed to the 110 sat (like the 3 LNB dish does), then you will need +/- 15 degrees east/west.
