TuxCoder: Why go through the hassle of the double-buffering tricks?

Just record both shows and watch yesterday's - I'm almost always a day behind, never see a commercial, and am quite happy with it.

You would love the Replay 50xx models with Commercial Advance then... too bad they caved in and newer models do not have...one feature I would love the 921 to have...

I have two new questions (thanks for all the answers so far) -

First when watching a pre-recorded event when there is a new event about to start record is there anyway to get rid of the clock icon that flashes on the screen?

Second - I noticed on a few recordings sound is lost for around 5-7 seconds in the recording. Any ideas?

Do you notice any pixellation jsut when the sound comes back?

If so, then you're experiencing signal dropouts. Could be from any of a number of causes, but start by checking your signal strengths on 110 AND 119, transponders 11 AND 12.

110 transponder 10=125(spotbeam) 11=109
119 transponder 10=119 11=125

Weather conditions no snow just high winds, 12degrees farenheit, cloudy.
