The article did not mention how the families got tipped off that the photo was being used.
What would be the odds of someone randomly spotting the testimonial for a business in the US, recognizing the people as the murdered couple from Wales and knowing the family or how to reach them to tip them off?
I suspect it was done on purpose by someone who was disgruntled and the families were tipped off to create problems for what ever company used it.
