Dish says I can't upgrade

Anyone else getting this response? so far they will not give me a reason - just say that the computer says I am not eligible and offer me the phone number of a local retailer to talk to.

A supervisor has just now told me that since I originally signed up over 2 years ago with a local retailer all upgrades must go through that retailer.

Does this make any sense at all?

This supervisor is now transferring me to the executive resolution team

well for a Dish N' It Up promo you would need to contact your retailer of record unless they are no longer in business. They aren't saying you can't, they are saying you can't the way you are doing it. Call your retailer of record and they can do upgrade you.
