Dish says I need a new dish to get my HD Locals? Something doesn't sound right!

You shouldn't need 129 if you already have 61.5 setup, unless your HD locals are on 129.

I wouldn't trade a working 61.5 dish for a Dish1000'ed 129 anyday until Ciel-2 is up.
 
My locals will be on 129. I *could* repoint my 148 to 129, but if Dish wants to upgrade my old 1999 Dish 500 (I put the DPs in myself 3 years ago) with a new wiz-bang 1000, what's the impact?
