Dish to Offer Newsmax TV On June 16By Swanni
Washington, D.C. (June 11, 2014) - NewsMax.com, the conservative web site, announced yesterday that its new TV channel will be available on Dish as well as DIRECTV when it launches on June 16.
However, Dish spokesman John Hall tells TVPredictions.com that Newsmax TV will not be offered in High-Definition.
"Dish will provide Newsmax TV in standard-definition," Hall said via e-mail.
DIRECTV said last month that it also would not offer the news channel in HD.
News Max said its new TV channel will initially air nine hours of live programming daily, which will target Baby Boomers looking for news and lifestyle tips with a conservative slant.
The conservative company said it expects to announce more distribution deals soon.
