I think selling the spectrum was the plan all along. They should have started building out years ago when Charlie bought all the old analog tv spectrum

They couldn't start building out (and still can't) without proper FCC approval.

IF they can pull this off, I think Dish keeping and using the wireless spectrum they have could be quite synergistic and increase competition. The latter, of course, putting a damper on any current cell provider's ardor for the deal.

To my knowledge, he hasn't set any prices yet. And may not, if the declared Plan A works out.

Charlie was shopping it to Verizon back in January..Verizon said thanks but no thanks..however the chinese are looking to set up a network and would pay charlie billions http://romesentinel.com/news?newsid=20130212-142105
