Dish Yuckwork

I really hate dish network,wish i had never changed,now i'm trapped for 2 years.Countless calls to dish gets me no where,i don't think any one that works their even uses there own service....

Cannot get this dish pass stuff down to save me on my 722.Right now trying to find how i can find Survivor and get it into rotation.I tried themes&search,Dish Pass,the #search button,i've entered jeffs name,survivor,channel,info exact match,title and it's no where to be found.
This is only the last battle,this thing is a joke,can anyone help me figure out how to setup dish pass shows.
With direct tv i can type a name and the title pops up on the the left,i select it and it's done.it doesn't add 20 other programs with the title in the name to the list or record the same show on same channel 4 times a day even though i tell it only new episodes.
So close to just paying off the penalty and being done with them.....

The new season of Survivor does not start until Feb 12. The program guide does not go that far out, so the receiver has no idea it is there yet. Wait a few days and try again.

You would have the exact same issue with a DirecTV receiver just for the reason stated above, so don't blame the 722 in this case.

Dish Pass is not necessary to record Survivor. Just record any episode on the channel it airs on and select New Episodes Only.

I was told DirecTV's guide goes out 14 days. I think DISH only does 8 and a little.

Wow, I didn't know that changing a show's premier was one of the features of a 722! I should have tried to get the Lost premier to record 2 weeks earlier.

Owomp, it's NOT a Tivo, so stop trying to make it be one. Have you even touched you user's manual? Or, do you just get on the phone? If you can ever lose your Tivo mentality, you'll find the 722 is an even better machine.

He didn't come asking for help. He wanted to complain that he couldn't set up a Tivo season pass for a show two weeks before it airs, especially odd considering he doesn't have a Tivo anymore.

Had he simply said "I'm trying to record the new Survivor, but I don't know how" we could have helped. Then we could have told him that it won't show until it makes it to the 9 day EPG. Problem solved with less anger.

Linux folks have a saying for whiners, "You weren't born knowing Windows." In this case, it should be "You weren't born knowing Tivo." (Personally I don't want to know Tivo, but that's another topic.)
