Would anyone be able to tell me if the new Hi Definition receiver from DishNet can switch from Widescreen mode to Standard automatically . Thank you

No you will have to push a button. It gives you stretch, Zoom. full zoom and 4:3 gray bar

No, you have to push the "*" button to choose between the modes. If you have the widescreen mode set on the sd channels and the normal mode set on the HD channels, the 811 and the 6000 will automatically switch between the two different settings when you change from sd to hd channels. There is one setting for sd and one for hd.
