DLNA on Joey without HIC

I think I missed the boat on this a long time ago, but should I be able to use DLNA on my Joey without having a HIC or having the Joey directly connected through the ethernet port? I thought I read that only 1 Hopper needs to be connected now, but my Joey can't seem to access DLNA.

I think you need to enable bridge mode on the hopper.
