Already have my K/u band dish working as good as possible I can.

Would like to revive the $69.99 Dish special for C band usage only, and also would like to use only the C Band side and covering the K/u side of the DMX-741 LNBF. I know that this is defeating the whole purpose of the DMX-741 LNBF.

Do I need any external switcheds for this purpose. What would be a single good C Band LNBF for this dish.:)

Thank You.

no switch needed for C-Band only
just hook the cable to the "RCV" output of the LNB.

If the 741 requires Diseqc switching make sure to change it to Diseqc 1

Or you can add another C-band LNBF and use the internal diseqc (or 22khz) switch. Just make sure you cover the unused Ku port as mentioned above. I have done that in the past it works just fine.
