Do I have a defective OTA Receiver?

Howdy folks,

I need some assistance in trouble shooting this unit.
Back of this unit, there is a dip switch 1080i/720/480.
When I move it to 1080i the picture looks great, but I can see vertical black line across the screen. Sometimes it's a bigger spike.

So I tried to moving to 720, but nothing displays.. so looks like my TV does not support 720. When I move it to 480, everything looks normal and picture is good.

I also have a VOOM Motorola DSR 550 and with 1080i no problem displaying pictures, just clean.

So I am thinking maybe the problem is with Accurian receiver 1080i resolution or could it be this receiver does not work well with my TV?

I am using Component (YPbPr0) and my tv is Philips 30" widescreen model 30PW850H99.

Maybe there is something wrong with the receiver, if another one works fine with your TV.
