Do I have to connect phone line or LAN to 722 receiver?

I do not have a nearby phone jack or LAN port available, how strictly is DISH enforcing this?

Also, I have some USB 802.11 b/g adapters, any way to use it with DISH 722 receiver? Does DISH 722 support HomePlug powerline networking?

For the customer it does not matter if you have a phone line or LAN connected. To the installer Dish is DEMANDING that they be hooked up.

Yes it does.

This used to get you the benefit of the 5 dollar savings for having a dual receiver. Since this is no longer offered you are not required to connect the phone line or the LAN. If you wish to use VOD or the interactive features on your receiver you will need one connected though.
